Year Completed:
2021
Location:
Burnbrae Grove, Edinburgh

A fantastic kitchen extension creating an open living space for our customer and his young family. Our customer was involved in every part of the design stage and enjoyed the process from start to finish. The attention to detail and high level finish speaks for itself.

A kitchen extension with two lanterns, large aluminium sliding doors and herringbone flooring. A huge operation to install steel at the full width of this extension removes any vertical obstructions giving a real open feel & wow factor.

Really loving living in my beautiful new kitchen extension completed by Tony and his team at The Brunstane Group.

I’ve really enjoyed working with the team from initial design right the way through the project to completion and would highly recommend them.  Despite all the industry disruption my project ran very smoothly with early planning decisions and ordering of critical materials.   The early meetings to consider key design factors such as beam installation and a site dig to establish foundation requirements meant that there were no unexpected cost surprises from the initial estimate.

Working with Tony was very amicable and transparent with no hidden surprises and regular communications throughout.  Day to day operations were managed well by Jimmy who was invaluable in educating me and involving me in design aspects I hadn’t considered including construction of a temporary wall to protect my young family from the building site and help to keep dust to a minimum.

Our 6-Step Extension Process

Our process is designed to give you a clear, structured route from first conversation to completed extension, with greater cost certainty built in before the build begins.

1
Initial Consultation & Feasibility

We discuss your home, your goals, how you want to live, your budget expectations and what may be possible.

2
Design & Planning Review

We look at the design approach, planning considerations and the professional input your project may require.

3
Technical Detail & Building Warrant

Architectural and engineering details are developed to support the building warrant process and prepare the project for accurate pricing.

4
Bill of Quantities Prepared by Quantity Surveyor

Our Quantity Surveyor prepares a Bill of Quantities, setting out the measured work and scope required for the project.

5
Cost Certainty Pricing

Once the approved drawings and Bill of Quantities are in place, we can provide cost certainty pricing based on the agreed scope of work. This means your project is priced properly, using detailed information rather than assumptions or rough estimates.

6
Programme Agreed & Build Managed

Your Contracts Manager agrees the programme, coordinates the trades and manages the build through to completion.
